Another wonderful family came out to play in October.  I loved their jokes and laughter, their lighthearted fun and their willingness to try new things.

Aren’t they a beautiful family?

This one just cracks me up.  L, the oldest, just trying to give a quick peck on the cheek.  S, the baby of the family, was having nothing to do with it.

High-flying big sisters, C and L.

My favorite of the day.  Such a quintessential little girl picture…pigtails, nail polish chipping off, bandaid on the finger for some grevious booboo and showing of newfound treasures.

Thank you H family for sharing your afternoon with me.

On a very cold August day, I meet up with a great family at a nearby park!  I had thought we might splash in the water a bit, but with 50 degree temps, that idea was quickly forgotten.

These two brothers kept me on my toes with their antics!

Just the sweetest family!

One of my favorite parts about this job…capturing moments like this!

The oldest.

The youngest.

Thanks W family for a great afternoon!

One of the things that I love most about being a photographer is sharing my ability with those I love, my friends and family.  My step-brother and family asked for a beach session during a recent visit to Milwaukee.  I’d never shot one before, but was all for it.  LOVED it!  So beautiful and serene.

My little man C!  Love photographing him, capturing his spunk and energy.  And he has the BEST HAIR EVER!!

His little sister was totally hamming it up for the camera too!

I love shots of feet, LOVE them!  I try to incorporate a family feet shot into every session. Notice how everyone’s feet are crossed the same way?  That’s not posed, it’s just family!!

Is this not just the sweetest thing?  I love C peeking over his mama’s head!!

Beautiful family.

Thank you Tom and Jenn for sharing your family with me!  I had so much fun at the beach.  Every image I edited brought a smile to my face!

One of the first newborns I photographed had his 9 month session!!  It was wonderful to see this beautiful family again and to see how much the kiddos have grown and changed!

I can’t believe S was that tiny little baby back in November!!

Such a happy little guy!  Full of smiles and he thought I was particularly funny.  Gotta love that!

Big Sister is as gorgeous as ever.

I LOVE this capture!!  Something every mama out there would love to have.

An incredibly beautiful family, it’s such a pleasure to photograph them.

F family, it was such a pleasure to see you again and photograph your lovely family!

My second wedding of the summer, another cousin of mine.  I need to be careful or somebody is going to start thinking I do this for a living.  This time I just did a little fill in before her professional team arrived and again after they left.  It was a beautiful day, on a beautiful farm, and a beautiful couple!

The bride getting ready.  One of the members of the children’s choir, perhaps thinking of her own wedding some day?

She catches a glimpse of her groom out the window, just a wee bit excited!!

The Dress.

Mama shedding tears of joy…and maybe a little bit of sorrow too?

Wedding was held on the groom’s family farm, gorgeous place!!  They collected all sorts of antiques from around the place to decorate tables and little nooks and cranny’s around the farm.  Attention to detail was fantastic.

After dinner we snuck away to a field of wheat for some photos, this is the groom’s favorite place in the world.  I was glad we managed to get some shots before the sun set.

First dance.

Congratulations again Josh and Jess, I wish you all the best and many happy years to coe!

A couple of weeks ago I met up with the H family at a local park for a session with two year old twin boys!!  These guys were so sweet and so well behaved,  I almost didn’t believe they were 2!!  We had lots of fun running, throwing balls and blowing bubbles.  A few favorites from their session.

There is just a special something that twins share!!

A, the sweetest little boy!

His brother L, happy as can be!

This one makes me smile every time I look at it!  Personalities of the boys shining through perhaps!!

And my favorite of the session!

A it was wonderful to finally meet your special guys, see you soon!

This little guy is named one of my most favorite names, and I called him Lil’ E!!  And little he is, just shy of 6 pounds of perfection!  He was SO good for me, calm, content and foldable.

Can’t resist the itty bitty baby foot!

Discussing those important life matters with mama!

We worked hard for this shot!  Lil E was WIDE awake and perfectly happy to stay that way. Mama rocked him.  Daddy rocked him.  I rocked him.  Eventually we gave up on getting him to sleep and put him in the position for this shot.  Wouldn’t you know it, he fell asleep.  And I think all the hard work was worth it!!

And I have to mention how cool, calm and collected (or maybe just REALLY tired) E’s parents were.  For first time parents, I was super impressed!  S family it was such a pleasure to meet you!!

J and I grew up together, we lived 2 houses apart many, many years ago.  I believe we were 3 and 4 when we became friends, and stayed friends though elementary school, middle school and high school.  We lost track of each other during college, and it was through Facebook that we reconnected.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting her two little girls and doing a session with them.

E is just about the most energetic 5 year I’ve ever met!  She does not like to stand still, not even for a moment.

I thought my girls had the pout thing down, but I think she gives them a run for her money!!

I made the most grevious mistake calling her eyes brown, they are in fact hazel!!  And beautiful at that.  I can only hope she forgives me.

C is a natural in front of the camera!!

Just trying to keep up with her big sister.

As we were leaving the park, she took my hand and asked if we could be friends. {heart melts} Yes C, I would like that very, very much!

So here’s to friends, both new and old!  J, it was such a pleasure catching up with you and meeting your girls.  Until next time…

these two sisters!!

Their mama and I have “known” each other via the internet for 3 or 4 years.  I finally got to meet her and her girls in person.  And sweet they are!  Miss A was a bit shy at first, but I quickly won her over with my extensive knowledge of all things princess and pixie!  She is so similar to my Caroline, I bet they’d be the best of friends.

I don’t normally get this type of face until the END of the session. 🙂

But Miss J quickly recovered.  She is just the tinniest little imp of a thing!

A and her Daddy.  I just love sweet daddy and daughter photos!

Jen, it was so wonderful to finally meet you and your beautiful family!
